Sarah & Nathan chose a chilly day in the snow for one of their engagement sessions with Harrington’s. As it would be with this couple it wasn’t long before their fun and playful side came out. It is easy to see that Sarah & Nathan love spending time together and can’t wait until the wedding day this coming Sept. 3rd. We are looking forward to working with them again and again!

We had a lot of fun photographing Janae recently on one of our snowy days! She has a real zest for life. We photographed Janae’s senior images a few years ago and continue to see her and her mom frequently at Lake Shawnee.  It really was a ton of fun being out in the snow as it was still falling. It took a little planning with plastic bags over the camera but it worked out great!

I am really enjoying photographing more and more sessions during the winter.  The winter adds a fun look to the images. We are now telling our engagement couples that we can do a “mini” session during the winter then another full session in the spring at no additional charge. It’s like getting two for one!

We had the opportunity to photograph the Kirby family on New Years Day this year. After we had gotten some great indoor images of the family inside and were getting ready to leave Jenna asked if we could do some outdoor images as well. I said sure! We didn’t take too long getting these images though as the temp was about 25!

Shawn is a active duty black hawk pilot in the Army.  He and Jena were home on leave for Christmas before leaving for his next assignment. Jena and Shawn were high school sweethearts and although I had forgotten, Shawn’s father showed me a senior photo of Jena that I had taken with them both in it several years ago. Shawn is always in Jenna’s heart and she keeps him close by wearing  wings close to her heart all the time.
