Thanks to Phil Anderson for the very nice article he wrote in the Topeka Capital Journal this past Sunday on our photography exhibit. http://cjonline.com/life/religion/2012-07-27/photo-exhibit-puts-focus-local-clergy

Pam & Phillip were married in St. Mary’s Catholic Church this last Saturday. We were honored to be chosen to be the photographers for their wedding! We’ve photographed a lot of weddings at that church over the years and it is always fun to return to familiar surroundings. Here are just a few of the apx. 975 images we captured of their day.
The Dog Days of Summer are Here!
Now through Aug. 15th we are running a different kind of special than we usually do. Everyone knows it is very hot. Unfortunately the Helping Hands Humane Society (HHHS) hasn’t moved into their nice new facilities yet. The animals that are awaiting adoption are kept in the un-air conditioned part of the building. As a matter of fact the air conditioning in the rest of the building isn’t all that great either (they were working on the compressor when I was there earlier this week). In order to help keep the dogs cool they give them blocks of ice. Of course ice doesn’t cost a lot but it’s not free either.
We have a very nice cool comfortable studio; so we decided let’s try and help and do something that we’ve wanted to do for quite awhile.
If you give us a check for $20, made out to HHHS, we will give you a photo session of your pet and their favorite person. In addition to the session we will also give you your choice of a 5×7 from the session. Also, we will contribute 5% to HHHS for any additional prints you choose to buy from the session.
Give us a call at 233-3827 to set up a time to have your pet’s portrait made. It won’t take long and you will be helping a good cause!
Come to our opening reception for our exhibit at Grace Episcopal Cathedral, Cloister Gallery this coming Friday July 6th from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Grace Cathedral is located at 8th & Polk Sts. The Cloister Gallery is located in the area between the Church and the Great Hall, you can’t miss it!
This is the first of, hopefully, many exhibits on various themes we will capture. We’ve been fortunate that by photographing hundreds of weddings to get to know a variety of ministers and the communities they represent in Topeka. Most of the ministers we’ve known for years; some we just wanted to get to know. Each ministry is unique and serves the Topeka community in it’s own way. Each minister was asked to prepare a response to three questions; 1. Bio 2. Their vision for the Topeka Christian community and 3. Anything they wanted to add in 50 words or less.
Included in the exhibit are portraits of 21 ministers. All of the images were taken on B&W film, processed by hand and scanned before being printed. The exhibit will be on display at Grace’s Cloister Gallery through July.
