Q: What is included in your packages?
A: Our packages are very flexible. Buy only the images that you want to buy. We are very low pressure! If this is the first time that you have worked with us you will learn that our goal is not a one time sale! Instead we would like for you to become one of our clients. We want you to have a very positive relationship with us, in hopes you will choose us again, in the future, for your photography needs.
Q: What do we need to do to book a session?
A: Give us a call (785-233-3827) or email us. We then set up a time for us to get together and discuss what you like, where you want your session(s), what to wear and what your schedule looks like in order to book your session(s).
Q: Do you remove braces?
A: Yes; we work with a very good artist that handles the more difficult retouching challenges for us. The artists fee is usually $50 per pose. Another option, rather than having all of the poses re-touched is to take some not smiling or to go ahead and show the braces.
Q: What are your specials?
A: That's an easy one! Take a look at our "Specials" page. One secret is that all photographers offer their best specials at the first of the year and they usually end completely by late Fall.
Q: Why don't most photographers send out their prices in the mail?
A: That's a good question. Professional photographers work very hard investing in their craft and each photographer structures prices to meet the needs of their clients. Senior photography is much more than "how much is an 8x10"! We mail out a price list with our "Senior Packets", but we want you to choose Harrington's because you like our work AND our prices! It is hard to talk about prices over the phone, we offer a lot of options, the more services you select the higher the investment.
Q: How many clothing changes can I bring?
A: As many as you like! We have found that the more variety that you have in your images the more you will like them. One thing to remember though is that when you are outside we are limited by the quality and quantity of light, so try to change quickly. A lot of the outside locations do not have changing areas available so think about bringing along someone that has a van!
Q: Can I bring a girl, boy friend or pet?
A: Yes! We don't charge extra for "friends" photographs. We do ask, however, that you only bring one other person or at the most two with you to your session(s) without prior discussion. One or two people can really be a help. More than that and they tend to become "photography directors" and are distracting!
Q: Why do you like to schedule your outdoor sessions during the evening or early morning?
A: Since we are a "low volume" studio we have the luxury of only offering the best times of the day for photography to our clients and the ability to avoid the "bad" times of the day. The quality of light outdoors is much better in the early morning or late evening! Of course we can schedule studio sessions anytime during the day.
Q: How long does it take to get my pictures?
A: We mail your contact sheets and a slide show to you within two weeks of your session(s). We then encourage you to set up a time to come in and view them in more detail in our studio before you order. The actual images take four to eight weeks depending on our workload. The earlier you order the quicker you get them!
